Football again ???

I had to laugh. Our house is a Philadelphia Eagles house ... in West Michigan! Odd I realize. But it's our loyalty to my husband who became a Philadelphia sports team fan as a kid when he became enamored with the Broadstreet Bullies ( the hockey team ). He said he loved the jerseys and the rough n tough reputation of the Flyers !!! So out of love and loyalty ( and the desire to be like Dad) , our boys ( and I ) became Philadelphia fans as well.

So yes , we watch and cheer for our Michigan teams - the Lions n Tigers ( but not when they play our Philly boys) because we love living in Michigan.

And yes it gets a little tedious when I have to watch Sunday night football , Monday football and now U of M football today. My point ? Loyalty. I don't love watching football but I do it to spend time with my husband. And it's something I'm doing more in this "second chapter" because he's not working seven days a week anymore and because our lives are quieter now that our two sons don't play hockey every weekend !!!

So so so thankful for the quietness of weekends at home ( yes I miss watching our boys play hockey ) and football. But I gotta be honest, I sorta wish Martha Stewart would have a weekend long marathon my hubby could watch with me !!!!!!! lol.
