Life slows down

So we had a busy summer spending time at our "cottage"... meeting new people and enjoying just us time as nearly empty nesters. But now fall is here and the husband goes back to working more so here I sit. (Whoever thinks Stay At Home Moms have it "made" need to come talk to me -- it's a lonely job)

We've also moved a few more times than I ever planned on so making and maintaining close friendships has not been easy. After 25 years of marriage, kids , sports , a bit of travel and then moving a few times , I count myself blessed to have a couple tried n true close friends. You know , the ones you can call at 2am and they will come over no questions asked ? ( that's my definition of a close friend y'all)

But I still felt the "emptiness" of having people to go do things with during the day. So I joined an app called "Meet Up" and found a group of women my age who were also looking for other ladies with whom to go do n see n experience things ! What a godsend. Seriously. I've met a few women in the group who enjoy the same things I do - whom I text with - and with whom I can share some of the things going on in my life. It has definitely added to my life in a positive way and I'm thankful for it.

Kids are grown. Husband is back to working 6 days a week. And I stay busy. No complaints. Well ok. No huge complaints.

Have a great week everyone !!!!
